Freshping.io Service Undergoing Renovation

Freshping offered an excellent free service for monitoring websites with a 1-minute interval. In comparison, Statuscake’s free plan is limited to a check every 5 minutes. In November 2023, a notice was published stating that all support for free plans would be discontinued for new development. I’m curious about what’s to come, and I hope the service will either remain the same or improve. Of course, the free plan is suitable for personal websites like this one, but in my opinion, it’s not suitable for professional websites. For those, a paid plan is usually the preferred choice.

Effective immediately, support for our free plan customers has been suspended. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please visit our help center. Thank you for your understanding.

The FAQ did specify that later in 2023 there would be more information. However, I failed to find an updated announcement on how the revamp is progressing further. I’m quite content with the current service and am not in a hurry

Update April 30th, 2024

On September 6, 2018, Freshping was launched as a free tool for website uptime monitoring by Freshworks, as they were not yet in the market for web monitoring. On June 21, 2023, a major revamp was announced, and new sign-ups for the service were stopped with the announcement of an update in the second half of 2023. However, I have not seen any communication about the future of this product so far.
